Quick troubleshooting
- Force-close and reopen FiveSalah before the next prayer
- Confirm location is allowed so Salah times stay accurate
- Re-check which apps are selected for Smart Namaz Lock
- Make sure notifications are enabled if you rely on prayer alerts
- Turn off aggressive battery optimization for FiveSalah so locks can start on time
- Update FiveSalah from the App Store or Google Play
Common questions
What is FiveSalah?
FiveSalah is a focus companion that automatically locks the distracting apps you choose during each of the five daily prayer times, so you can pray without notifications pulling you away.
Why aren’t my apps locking during Salah?
Confirm Smart Namaz Lock has the permissions your phone requires, that prayer times are set for your location, and that social or messaging apps you want blocked are selected in Settings. Also check that battery optimization isn’t stopping FiveSalah in the background.
Can I choose which apps get locked?
Yes. You pick the distractions—YouTube, Instagram, games, chat apps, and more. FiveSalah locks only what you select when each prayer window begins.
Will I still get prayer time alerts?
Yes. FiveSalah can remind you before each Salah so you’re ready when the time starts. Manage alert timing in Settings → Alerts, or in your phone’s notification settings.
What if I need my phone during a lock?
Use the emergency or temporary unlock option on the lock screen when available, or pause the lock from FiveSalah settings. The goal is presence in Salah—not trapping you in an emergency.
Do you track my prayers in the cloud?
Prayer stats, streaks, and widgets are designed to help you stay consistent. Preferences and focus data are built to stay on your device whenever possible—see our Privacy Policy for details.
